Of course, the obvious necessities, like a good heating and air system and appliances, but let’s go beyond that. You want it to be as attractive as possible. First and foremost, have it professionally cleaned and the yard professionally manicured. Now, picture yourself as seeing the property for the first time. What might be objectionable if you were considering living there and what might you be able to accept. As your budget will allow, make your rental property as attractive as possible. This will attract better tenants who care about your property as you care for it. If you don’t care, why should they? Good tenants equal good return on investment! Go the extra mile.
